Plastic, but light weight. Pump died, seller replaced. Price is high for what you get, but overall happy with it and the sound it makes.When product arrived it was broken in several places. This was the bigger break. I would like come kind of compensation for breagageExcellent fountain for the birds . I own a second fiberglass fountain with 2 levels and the birds prefer this one . The pump on the fountain is completely quiet . From 20 feet it almost looks like stone or concrete , ---- easy to clean being being fiberglass . We have aprox. 40 regular birds feeding etc. You can hide the electrical connection or adapter for the fountain under the pedestal base . Buy a small bag of sand to level the ground, and then we placed a piece of thick slate as a base for the fountain , use a level for your base etc. !!This is exactly what I was looking for. It's the perfect size and I set it up in just a few minutes. it's not to loud and it attracts the birds! Perfect for any patio or garden.The item was easy to set up. Looks good!This plastic paint dribbled birdbath/fountain is a sick joke for the enormous amount of money paid. There weren't enough rocks included to even cover the basin, so the water sound was reduced. It looked very cheap. Shame on "Design" Toscano for this piece of trash!I did not like the lighting it is to white it needs to be a cool light in my opinion need to blue up the water colarThis fountain looks terrific, but the beauty is only skin deep. The pump is very loud (you can hear it over the water sounds) and very cheap, it will probably won't last a season. The fountain is resin, covered with some sort of material that makes it look like stone. But the material easily rubs off, leaving a plastic looking surface below. Its too bad, because it looked so good when I took it out of the box. I am so disappointed! I sent and email to Design Toscano to ask if these problems might be in the process of being fixed since it is temporarily out of stock. But they did not even give me the courtesy of a reply!Birds love it and think the fountain is their personal bidet. We only use it after the last spring frost and take it in for winter. Exterior finish is perfect and after two years, it is like new. No complaints at all, just runs great and our friends think it is our garden focal-point.
